Haven't tried yet? Doing yourself a disservice. New to NY and hitting different places, although I didn't see this 2.5star, I'm surprised because everything was phenomenal and should be nothing less than a 5. Fresh and hot and ordered 4 hours early. Will certainly purchase from again. Hers what I ordered and we finished it all. Souther bell here is happy. Keep going, Estrella, we appreciate you.
I always order chuleta combo or the pollo combo and they both taste good and fresh. Food comes to my home warm and fresh. The red beans taste so good especially over the rice. Very tasty!
Sitting here now enjoying a meatless Mofongo and some happy hour frozen margaritas. Great spot. Our server is very friendly too.
No nonsense; just very good Caribbean food. Sazón was plentifully tasted!! Try guava shake; mofongo tastes better than one from the island
I have to say that despite the many bad reviews this was not my experience. The service was quick and attentive and the food was excellent. Seasoned well and served fairly quickly. I recommend Estrella Del Mar.
Needed a local Spanish spot as my other fave recently closed. Am happy to report Estrella is as great as its name, a total star!! Service was prompt & attentive...ordered sancocho w plantains & boy the flavor was spot on w both. Plan to come back & try the huge amount of dishes offered. Happy to be a new fan! Prices are what i expect to pay in today's economy. Not cheap but def nor overpriced.
Good food and semi good service. My usual go is their boneless fried chicken chunks or grilled chicken w/veggies and white rice it yellow rice and beans.They should definitely hire more English speaking waitresses especially since Ridgewood is becoming more gentrified by the minute. Parking sucksssssss...it will always suck in Ridgewood honestly. So if you're gonna dine in I suggest in the summer..better off than have to freeze in the winter walking from your parking spot blocks always.
